Berm McCandless is a general contractor in Vancouver with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career working in the Vancouver film industry, where he spent 14 years building film sets and working with some of the best carpenters and woodworkers.

Starting a renovations business

Berm transitioned from film work to home remodeling, working for two residential home building companies.
In 2011, he took a big step and started his own business, New Evolutions Contracting Inc. Since then, Berm has grown his business and completed many impressive projects around the Lower Mainland.

Berm McCandless offers a wide range of custom millwork and cabinetry services. He enjoys building personalized storage solutions, custom furniture, and garden structures. Berm's work stands out because he adds unique details and a customized look to cabinets and workstations, which typical cabinet companies cannot achieve.

4-year workmanship warranty. This means that if any mistake was made by one of our tradespeople, it will be repaired at no extra charge for up to four years after the project has been completed.

A clean and organized workspace is safer and more efficient. We clean up our job site at the end of each day.
During all renovations, we protect floors, walls and furniture. Dust is contained to the work area only. This allows you to continue living in your home during the renovation process.
